The Arrogant Sparrow

The Arrogant Sparrow

Once there lived a sparrow in a tree of a forest. She used to sing everyday. Her chirping could be heard in the next village. One day a saint came to sit beneath the same tree where the sparrow lived to meditate. All the birds warned the sparrow of the saint but the sparrow, proud of her song, became arrogant. She refused to fly away from the tree and started singing like everyday. The saint got disturbed by this sound and murmured something in anger. With that the sparrow turned into a crow with a horrible voice.

Thus she lost her voice due to  her arrogance and learnt a lesson for life.

Moral:

Never be arrogant.
