The Money-minded Boy

 The Money-minded Boy

Once there lived a boy named Sam who was greedy for money. He was greedy in order to have his favourite jalebis. But in the month of July, something happened that made the boy look sad. His pocket money was reduced by his mother because of his naughtiness. Now his pocket money wasn't enough for his jalebis. He was sad so he went for a walk to the market.

As he reached the T-point and crossed the street, he found a note. At last, he got a jackpot, it was a 500 rupee note. With the note in his pocket, he darted towards the sweet shop in excitement.

As he reached the shop, he gave the note to the shopkeeper. Suddenly the shopkeeper started yelling, the note was fake. The cops arrived at the scene at hearing the shopkeeper's voice, in order to deal with the matter. As they arrived on the scene, the boy vanished. Now nothing could be done. The boy got a lesson for his life.

The Makeshift Hotel

 The Makeshift Hotel

John had been planning to have a tour and enjoy the beaches during his stay at a hotel. Now it was the day so he packed his bags and started his car. Zoom.... it went. The best part was that he was going alone. What fun it would be!...He was one of my best friends who shared his experience...Let's not end the fun now, let the story continue.

As John crossed the border between the states, something unexpected happened. His phone battery went dead; something which is worst in case of a trip, and on top of that, he didn't know the way to the hotel which he booked for his trip. But lucky enough, he reached a hotel. But it didn't look like a hotel. It was in a devastated condition. But something is better than nothing, so he took his bags and went to the reception; the inside even worse than the outside. All the rooms were vacant, and there was no sign of any person except the receptionist. John got the keys of his room and went towards the stairs. Placing all his stuff in the dusty closets of his room, John went to bed; thinking of staying for a night. But something happened which left John frightened. As he went into deep sleeep, he heard someone knocking at the window. John got up and saw something which was apppaling. There was a round figure on the window with large staring eyes which just stared at John. John, half in sleep, was such frightened thta he ran towards his car, and with a U-turn, he went back to the city. Somehow he reached home. The receptionist had seen all this before, and had always wondered the reason behind and was still wondering; John too. But no one could figure out the mystery behind the nocturnal creature who still sits at the window.

The Arrogant Sparrow

The Arrogant Sparrow

Once there lived a sparrow in a tree of a forest. She used to sing everyday. Her chirping could be heard in the next village. One day a saint came to sit beneath the same tree where the sparrow lived to meditate. All the birds warned the sparrow of the saint but the sparrow, proud of her song, became arrogant. She refused to fly away from the tree and started singing like everyday. The saint got disturbed by this sound and murmured something in anger. With that the sparrow turned into a crow with a horrible voice.

Thus she lost her voice due to  her arrogance and learnt a lesson for life.

Moral:

Never be arrogant.

Worth of a Rupee

 Worth of a Rupee

Once there was a girl named Rosy, who was fond of expensive things and liked to spend money for them. One day she bought many expensive toys because of which her pocket money got finished in a day. Her father scolded her and explained that each rupee counts a lot but she refused to understand.

Next day it was a party which she gave to her friends in which she spent a lot on snacks and drinks. Her mother explained her the same as her father but it had no effect on Rosy.

Now it was the following week when she went on a picnic with her friends. Her mother had given her 50 rupees - 30 for snacks and 20 to get the bus to get back home. But Rosy didn't understand what her parents had explained her, so she spent 31 rupees for the snacks, ignoring the extra 1 rupee which was the bus charge. Now it was the time to get back home, so all went to the bus stop. All got into the bus except Rosy who couldn't pay the cost of 20 rupees which was the bus charge. She only had 19 rupees so she got down of the bus. She stood staring her friends as the bus got down the road.

As she was wondering how to get back home, there came a beggar who said, "May I help you to reach back home? I saw you couldn't get the bus as you didn't have enough money. Here take this one rupee."

"But you are so poor, so how can I take money from you. I don't need it."

"As you wish." said the beggar, and then disappeared behind the bushes.

As darkness rose above the sky, Rosy got worried. She saw the beggar and asked for the coin. She got the coin, went to the bus stop, got the bus, and returned home.

Realising the kindness of the beggar inspite of being poorto give her the rupee and understanding the value of a rupee, she visited the place again where they had their picnic to meet the beggar, but she could never meet him again.

Moral:

Even a single rupee is of much worth.

The Misplaced Coin

The Misplaced Coin

John, living in Kala Bazaar Street, was planning to have his favourite ice-cream. His left pocket money wasn't enough but John knew that something would be there for him. So he took out the coin from his piggy bank and towards the gate and then to the ice-cream van. But something happened which he didn't notice. The coin slipeed out from his pocket as he went past the door and got stuck between the hinges of the door. When he reached the van, he checked his pocketsbut there he found a hole instead of the coin. But by tyhe virtue of the ice-cream man's gratitude, John got the ice-cream and went for his house door.

John was sad as he couldn't pay the cost of his ice-cream. As he opened the door and peered in from the gap in between, he saw something suspicious. He saw a  silhouette coming in from the window. As the face got visible of the silhouette, it became all clear. It was a thief! Just as the thief got the gun in his hand, John heard the sound of a coin. It was the same coin which John had. He quickly picked it up and locked the door by inserting it in the keyhole. He informed the police and got the thief arrested.

So John became the hero of the day.
